One Fatality in Highway 401 Collision Near Ingersoll
Driver Pronounced Dead at Scene
One person has sadly passed away following a fatal collision on Highway 401 near Ingersoll, Ontario. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, resulting in the closure of all westbound lanes for several hours.
Details of the Crash
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), a two-vehicle collision involving tractor-trailers took place just south of Ingersoll. The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other individuals were transported to hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The cause of the collision is currently under investigation. The westbound lanes of Highway 401 have since reopened to traffic.
