Northumberland OPP confirmed the heartbreaking news that one person tragically lost their life in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 401 east of Cobourg on July 28th. The accident, involving an SUV and a vehicle, occurred at approximately 1:30 pm.
Emergency services, including Cobourg and Hamilton Township Fire Services, swiftly responded to the scene. The severity of the accident is evident in the fact that 20 vehicles were impacted in multiple crashes.
