AEW Dynamite Viewership Plummets Ahead of Upcoming Episode
Subheading: Low Attendance Expected at Next Dynamite Taping
Despite AEW owner Tony Khan's affectionate nickname for his fans as "sickos," an upcoming episode of Dynamite is projected to have record-low ratings.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the July 8th episode of Dynamite on TBS drew only 691,000 viewers, with a P18-49 rating of 0.32. This marks a significant decline from previous weeks, and is expected to fall further in the coming episode.
The low viewership comes as AEW faces stiff competition from WWE, who held a live event in Tampa, Florida, on the same night. The Raw event reportedly drew an attendance of 11,400 people, with 9,400 paid. This high number is likely due to the event's location, as Tampa is a major wrestling market.
